At the Beginning there was the „Bertesgadner – Jackerl”.
In 1954, Elsa Dworschak and her husband Helmut took over
the knitting mill, at that time strongly affected by World War II, of
her mother – in – law. Thanks to good foreign contacts and
an excellent quality in those days there could soon be made profit again.
The triumphal procession however started with the production
and sale of the “Berchtesgadner –
Jackerl”. Thousands of pieces have been sold at home and abroad
and as a result the demand for also other classical and high quality dirndl
jackets started. The company was then extended and modernized and in 1970
the Detailgeschäft in the Getreidegasse in Salzburg was opened.
In 1993 son Günther took over the parental company
and by the use of new machines and materials he could even enlarge it.
The other son Helmut, who took over the Detailverkauf in the Getreidegasse,
could, thanks to the good cooperation with his brother, further improve
(extend) the success.
